Elizabeth Venable was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, the youngest of three children.  After stops in Idaho, Kentucky, New York, and Memphis, she's called Portland, Oregon, home since 2004.  She writes and performs with the musical acts Sad Horse and Fronjentress and has shown her photography and art work in various gallery settings.   She is presently focusing on new albums with both musical projects and volunteering with local organizations that focus on social justice.

In 2010, she founded VARIABLE, a project that builds community through variety-style performances in homes and businesses around Portland.
