Welcome to VARIABLE.
VARIABLE began in October, 2010, as a Portland winter series with the intention of encouraging new performance ideas for both professional performers and those with no performance background. These variety-style shows were presented once a month in living rooms and backyards and simply included 4 or 5 short acts presented to a small audience of friends. VARIABLEs were only scheduled from October through February, 2011, but as past projects have been successful, VARIABLE has continued, with an emphasis on encouraging new work, experimental performances, and bridging communities by using non-venue spaces.
